We welcome your interest on working for diabetes issue. Now the day has come to slowly concentrate on this.
We are an NGO from AP, working on issues of women and girl trafficking, HIV/AIDS prevention and control, identification of diabetes type-1 children from rural areas and so on.
We understand from a recent news daily that over 1 lakh of children in the age group of 10-18 attending schools are with type-1 diabetes and alone in a few corporates schools in Vijayawada has more than 6000 children, all of them are examined and confirmed by a single hospital in Vijayawada. How a about the other cities like, Visakhapatnam, Guntur, Tirupati, Hyderabad-Secunderabad, Kakinada, Rajahmundry? It is estimated that over 1 lakh children are available in Andhra Pradesh.
CEAD is interested to undertake a screening test and follow-up programs with the children who are suffering and in a line to confirm that they are going to very soon get this.
Thank you and look forward to hearing from you to work on this very important issue which is totally neglected in rural areas due to parents poverty, ignorance, low level of education and non availability of resources and infrastructure in the villages.
