Punjabi singer and actor Babbu Mann will be seen playing the role of modern lover in his upcoming Punjabi film Mirza. Named after the legendary lovers Mirza Sahiba Punjabi film Mirza will be an eye opener for the society. Film is based on the social evils that are prevalent in the society today.

Through this film Babbu Mann wants to give a direction to the Punjabi youth so that they become more career oriented. Falling in love early and then spoiling one’s career is not the right attitude towards life.

Not only are this “Saying NO to Drugs” some of the other subjects that this film will touch. It will be an all round family entertainer with Comedian Bhagwant Mann also playing an important role in the film.

Model turned actor Mouni Roy will be in lead opposite Babbu Mann. Shooting of the film is being done in Khant Maanpur and areas around Ludhiana. The cast and crew of the film were spotted shooting for Mirza in MBD Neopolis Mall.

Babbu Maan told by speaking about his Punjabi film Mirza that he will contribute in spread and promote Punjabi Culture to the utmost and aware Punjabi people from the social evils by his singing and acting. Babbu Maan arrived in Ludhiana on 15 February, 2011 to shoot for his new film Mirza. He also told that Mirza film was shooted in his native village Khant in whole January month of 2011.

Always living with controversies, Babbu Mann also told that one TV. channel has made a survey for his controversial song Ik Baba Nanak Si and in result above 80% of people supported Babbu Maan.

On speaking Lala Lajpat Rai controversy, he also mentioned that he speak after very well understanding and conscience.
